Interfaith Prayer Service to Pray for Creation and Our Common Home

People from different faiths will pray for creation and our common home.

St. George Catholic Church’s Creation Care Ministry and the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge are hosting a prayer service for our common home and creation. Bishop Michael G. Ducca of the Diocese of Baton Rouge and leaders from the Baptist, Islamic, Hindu, Episcopal, Buddhist, and Jewish faiths. the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana, and Catholic youth will offer scripture readings and prayers. They are answering Pope Francis’s call in Laudato Si’ for all people to pray and act to protect our common home.
