DESCRIPTION:Join the Franciscan Sisters for this Season of Creation prayer service in Kirkwood Park, MO.\nGather your friends and join the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in prayer to celebrate the 2026 Season of Creation. The Season of Creation is an annual ecumenical celebration of prayer and action to nurture and protect God’s Creation. It runs from September 1 (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) to October 4 (the Feast of St Francis of Assisi). St Francis was not only the founder and Patron Saint of Franciscans, he is also the Patron Saint of Ecology, due to his profound connection with nature, animals, and all of God’s Creation during his lifetime.\nWe will meet and pray during the golden hour at Walker Lake within Kirkwood Park in Kirkwood, MO, on Wednesday, September 2. Our service will begin at 6:30 in the evening. The theme of our prayer service will be Immersed in Living Water. All are asked to bring a refillable, reusable, sustainable, water bottle filled with tap water to participate with us in simple rituals.\n
